ITS SECOND FUND
HOUSTON, June, 2006/PR/ - Growth Capital Partners,
L.P. (“GCP”), an investment and
merchant banking firm, today announced the
closing of Southwest Mezzanine Investments
II, L.P. (“SMI II”) at more than
$65 million. Jim Forrester, Jim Rebello and
Drew Sudduth will manage the operations of
the fund. Investors include Amegy Holding Delaware,
Inc., CUNA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Sumitomo
Mitsui Banking Corporation, family offices
and high net-worth individuals. “We are

SMI II targets $2 to $5 million subordinated
debt investments in middle-market companies

with enterprise values in excess of $10 million,

meaningful competitive advantages. SMI II seeks
to make investments in both equity sponsored
and unsponsored transactions for companies
