HOUSTON, October 2006/PR/ - Growth Capital Partners, L.P. (“GCP”) a Houston-based investment and merchant banking firm, is pleased to announce that TSG IT Resources, Inc. (“TSG”) has been acquired by TEKsystems, a division of Allegis Group.  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. GCP served as the exclusive financial advisor to TSG for this transaction.

TSG is a leading independent provider of information technology (“IT”) staffing services.  Based in Stoneham, Massachusetts and with offices in Chicago, Illinois and Charlotte, North Carolina, TSG offers a full range of IT consulting services to its customers primarily in the healthcare, financial services, government and retail industries.  Among the primary skill sets provided by TSG are project managers, business systems analysts and quality assurance engineers.

TSG IT Resources is this ownership team’s second business serving the IT staffing industry under the TSG label.  The first TSG was founded as TSG Professional Services, Inc. in 1980 to provide technical staffing personnel and was sold to Career Horizons in 1996.  After serving out their non-compete agreements, management restarted TSG in 2000 with the reopening of the Stoneham office by Scott Hampoian, TSG’s Vice President and director of day-to-day operations at TSG.  TSG subsequently restarted its Charlotte office late in 2000 and the Chicago office in 2003 while reestablishing itself as one of the leading providers of IT staffing services in its markets.
