Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P. Becomes Largest Anheuser-Busch Distributor in the Nation

HOUSTON, TX, August 1, 2007– Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., the local distributor of Anheuser-Busch and Modelo products, today announced the purchase of all assets of BudCo Ltd, the Anheuser-Busch and Grupo Modelo sales, marketing and distribution company for 13 counties in South Texas. BudCo corporate offices are located in San Antonio with depots in Del Rio and in Carrizo Springs.

Silver Eagle Distributors, L.P., one of the nation’s largest Anheuser-Busch and Modelo distributors, operates four branches in the greater Houston area – a facility located near downtown Houston and facilities in Rosenberg, Cypress and Conroe. Majority owners of Silver Eagle Distributors are John and Bobbie Nau and chief operating officer, Robert Boblitt, also has an ownership interest in the company.

With the acquisition of BudCo, Silver Eagle Distributors becomes the largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in the nation. Silver Eagle will now have close to 1,200 employees that will be serving 16 counties in Texas to include two major metropolitan areas –Houston and San Antonio.

Silver Eagle will service over 10,000 retail establishments within the combined territory generating total volume sales of 43 million case equivalents annually. The combined territory includes the following counties: Atascosa, Bexar, Dimmit, Edwards, Fort Bend, Frio, Harris, Kinney, Maverick, Medina, Montgomery, Real, Uvalde, Val Verde, Wilson and Zavala.

Participating in the transaction were Growth Capital Partners as Silver Eagle’s financial advisor, SunTrust Robinson Humphrey as Lead Arranger, Bank of America as Joint Lead Arranger, JP Morgan Chase, Amegy Bank and Prudential as Co-Documentation Agents.
